The Crucible summary For the representatives of the Miller’s society being an honest and a decent man means not only respecting the religious doctrine but following its commandments literally. For instance, Abigail is the evil character in terms of the Miller’s society as she is into material and sexual desires. Though the society of “The Crucible” is a Puritan one on the surface in reality almost each member of this society is greedy, dishonest, and jealous of each other.

He realizes that it has become very hard for him to travel all the time and at his age he should have more rest and have a less problematic job. Willy seems to life in two different realities. In the first reality Willy is an old unsuccessful salesman who fails to provide his family and the second reality Willy is still young, promising and his options are still open not only for him but also for his sons Biff and Happy.

“To Kill a Mockingbird” summary The story is told by a little innocent girl by the name Scout who actually has to grow up fast in the next three years and the evens she observes become dramatic and full of racial and social injustice. She and her brother Jem learn that the world can be dangerous just because their father decided to prove the innocence of an African American. The girl is shocked by the way the world around her functions destroying and killing people only on the basis of the social and racial stereotypes.

The Great Gatsby summary “The Great Gatsby” is told by Nick Carraway who moves to the West Egg to find himself involved in a complicated love story of his neighbor Jay Gatsby to Nick’s cousin Daisy Buchanan. With the help of Nick, Gatsby gets back together with Daisy and this seems “justified” as Daisy’s husband Tom also appears to have a mistress.

“Jane Eyre” summary While studying at Lowood Jane meets a friend named Helen Burns who teaches Jane to be strong and to endure constant humiliation at school with dignity. A typhus epidemic takes away the lives of many people in Lowood School including Helen Burns. After the epidemic the headmaster changes and the living conditions change for better too. Jane not only successfully finishes school but even stays for two more years to teach there.

"Frankenstein" summary The novel tells the story of a man of science Viktor Frankenstein who decides to create a form of life using the parts of the body of dead people. After he brings the creature to life he becomes terrifies by what has been brought to life. He escapes his apartment and eventually coming back he discovers that the monster is gone leaving Viktor in the pain of remorse. Once he decides to run away to Geneva to forget about what has been done he finds out that his youngest brother has been strangled to death in Geneva.

“Lord of the flies” summary William Golding seems to promote the feeling of “disgust” towards the primitive savage part of the society. The characters are depicted in a way that the reader can identify himself with a certain character and see the weaknesses and the strength that one has. William Golding throughout his allegoric novel appeals to the reader by drawing a parallel between the boys that find themselves alone on an island and the people that are also isolated in the society.

Of Mice and Men summary John Steinbeck’s “Of mice and men” is a beautiful story but as everything beautiful in this world it has something very tragic inside. Just imagine: the Great Depression, unemployment and constant lack of money and two friends George and Lennie that stay always together and try to earn their dollar to survive.
